Today, Congressmen Joe Morelle (D-NY-25) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-1) re-introduced the Delivering Elderly Lunches and Increasing Volunteer Engagement and Reimbursements (DELIVER) Act to support volunteers in programs which help deliver food to older, more vulnerable Americans. This legislation would also help eliminate barriers to reaching more individuals for charitable organizations like Meals on Wheels.

(Rochester, NY) – Today, Congressman Morelle together with Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand announced the delivery of $750,000 for Foodlink, a critical local organization dedicated to ending hunger and building healthy communities throughout the Rochester region. With this funding, Foodlink will be able to cover the costs of a much-needed refrigerator expansion that will allow them to stock more fresh produce and better meet the growing needs of our community.
