Rep. Morelle signs onto letter requesting 2020 census to not include citizenship questions

Rep. Joe Morelle signed onto a letter today with many of his colleagues in the House of Representatives calling on the Trump Administration not appeal a recent court ruling to move forward in implementing the 2020 census without the harmful citizenship question. The administration's action comes in light of a decision by Judge Jesse Furman, of the Southern District of New York, where he stated the question was in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act and the Census Act. The judge's decision also cited the risk of creating inaccurate census data if the question is administered. Read below:
