(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Representatives Joe Morelle and Tom Reed sent the attached letter urging the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to consider the Greater Rochester-Finger Lakes region as the site for the new headquarters of the National Institute for Food and Agriculture and the Economic Research Service. The Greater Rochester region was recently included in the first round of sites for consideration for the new headquarters.
Today, Congressman Joe Morelle sent the attached letter urging the International Joint Commission (IJC) to take action to address dangerously high Lake Ontario water levels and develop a long-term plan to reduce potential for future flooding. Rep. Joe Morelle signed a letter today addressed to U.S. Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos in response to her proposed regulation regarding Title IX, the 1972 Education Amendment that says "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance." This regulation would not assure the preservation of due process nor make it easier for survivors to seek redress. Read below:
