CONGRESSMAN JOE MORELLE ANNOUNCES 2020 MILITARY ACADEMY NOMINATIONS FROM 25TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
(Rochester, N.Y.) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle announced the names of 10 students from the 25th Congressional District who have been nominated for entry into one of our nation's prestigious and highly competitive military academies.
"Rochester is home to so many talented young people," said Rep. Morelle. "It is my honor and privilege to nominate these distinguished students for entry into our military service academies. I extend my sincere congratulations to each nominee—I know you will all go on to accomplish incredible things for our nation."
Applicants are evaluated on a number of criteria, including academic performance, physical fitness and athletics, extracurricular activities, and leadership potential. Students who applied for Congressional nomination were interviewed and evaluated by a panel of graduates from each of the academies.

Mr. Hayden Lenhard- Webster - Webster Thomas High School
US Air Force Academy
Mr. Griffin Peter- Brighton High School
Mr. Nicholas Hamby - Webster Thomas High School
Mr. Alexander Mesiti - Brockport High School, Class of 2019
Mr. Jacob Knapp- Penfield - Fairport High School
