(Washington, DC) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle was appointed by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to serve on the House Education and Labor Committee.

“Every young person deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential, and that starts with quality education and job training tools,” said Rep. Morelle. “I am pleased that serving on the Education and Labor Committee will allow me to play an important role in ensuring our students and workers have the resources, tools, and support they need to succeed. I am grateful to Speaker Pelosi and Chairman Scott for their leadership and look forward to furthering our efforts to strengthen America’s working families.”

The Committee has jurisdiction over education and labor matters, including oversight over issues related to higher and early education, workforce development and protections, health, employment, labor, and pensions. Learn more:
