CONGRESSMAN JOE MORELLE HONORS LOCAL LEADERS DURING CARIBBEAN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH

Recognizes outstanding members of Rochester’s Caribbean community whose contributions have strengthened our region
(Rochester, N.Y.)—Today, Congressman Joe Morelle hosted a Caribbean American Heritage Month Recognition Ceremony, honoring outstanding members of Rochester’s Caribbean community whose leadership, service, and dedication have made a lasting impact on the lives of others.
“Caribbean American Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate the individuals whose hard work, talent, and commitment to community have helped shape Rochester for the better,” said Congressman Joe Morelle. “The people we honor today come from different backgrounds and experiences, but they share a common dedication to serving others and strengthening the community around them. Their contributions have enriched our city in countless ways, and we are grateful for all they have done to help Rochester thrive.”
Caribbean Americans have long played a vital role in Rochester’s cultural, economic, and civic life. Through entrepreneurship, public service, the arts, education, athletics, and community leadership, generations of Caribbean Americans have helped strengthen neighborhoods, create opportunity, and enrich the fabric of our community.
Congressman Morelle recognized each honoree with an official statement submitted to the Congressional Record celebrating their achievements and highlighting their significant contributions to the Rochester community.
