CONGRESSMAN JOE MORELLE HONORS LOCAL MEMBERS OF JEWISH COMMUNITY DURING JEWISH AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
Highlights Jewish Americans who have gone above and beyond to serve Rochester
(Rochester, N.Y.)—Today, Congressman Joe Morelle partnered with leaders in the Jewish community to recognize the outstanding contributions of local Jewish Americans during Jewish American Heritage Month. Congressman Morelle recognized honorees with official statements he submitted to the Congressional Record celebrating their achievements and profound impact on the lives of others.
“Jewish Americans have a storied history almost as old as the pilgrims—and since the first Jewish American immigrants arrived in 1654, the impacts of their discoveries, contributions, and leadership have been integral to the fabric of our society,” said Congressman Joe Morelle. “As we wrap up our celebration of May as Jewish American Heritage Month, it is fitting to recognize the extraordinary impact our Jewish neighbors have had on the Rochester community, particularly during these challenging times. The hard work and selflessness of the individuals recognized today has undoubtedly made our community a better place, and I’m deeply grateful to each of them.”
