CONGRESSMAN JOE MORELLE VOTES TO RESTORE CRITICAL SERVICES FOR AMERICANS AND FUND THE GOVERNMENT THROUGH FEBRUARY 28

January 17, 2019

(Washington, DC) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle joined members of the House in voting for a Continuing Resolution to end the shutdown and fund the federal government through February 28.

"We are 27 days into this government shutdown – and that's 27 days too long. My colleagues and I in the House are yet again offering the President a clear pathway to end this shutdown that is hurting millions of American families and severely damaging our economy," said Rep. Morelle. "President Trump and Senate Republicans have an obligation to do what is best for the American people and join us in seeking bipartisan solutions that restore stability and certainty to our nation."

This Continuing Resolution (H.J. Res 28) funds all seven remaining appropriations bills through February 28 at current levels. It marks the ninth time this month the House has voted to re-open the government.
