CONGRESSMAN MORELLE ANNOUNCES $5.8 MILLION IN FUNDING FOR GREATER ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
(Rochester, NY) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle announced that $5.8 million in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) funding has been awarded to the Greater Rochester International Airport. The funding will support critical safety renovations such as new airfield guidance signs, enhanced runway lighting, and runway rehabilitation.
“I’m so pleased that this significant grant will help strengthen the infrastructure of the Greater Rochester International Airport and enhance the safety and security of travelers,” said Rep. Morelle. “This grant supports the ongoing revitalization of our airport and compliments the substantial New York State investment that is truly transforming our community’s transportation hub.
