(Rochester, NY)—Today, Congressman Joe Morelle was at the American Legion’s Rayson-Miller Post 899 to present the family of the late U.S. Navy veteran George Tiuch with the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal earned during his service in Vietnam.

(Rochester, NY) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle introduced new legislation he authored to strengthen benefits for families of Medal of Honor recipients. The legislation, which is named for local Medal of Honor recipient Gary Beikirch, ensures the surviving spouses of these brave veterans can receive the full benefits for which they qualify.

The Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxins Act (or Honoring our PACT Act) has now passed both the House and Senate and now heads to the President’s desk for his signature.
