(Washington, DC) - Today, Congressman Joe Morelle voted to pass the second Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 appropriations package, H.R. 7617. This package includes six spending bills: Defense, Commerce-Justice-Science, Energy and Water Development, Financial Service and General Government, Labor-HHS-Education, and Transportation-Housing and Urban Development.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle announced his sponsorship of legislation to ensure that all children across our country will have access to free school meals during the 2020-2021 school year. The COVID-19 pandemic has severely limited children's access to free and reduced school meals, which has only been elevated with so much uncertainty going into the new school year. The Pandemic Child Hunger Prevention Act will allow all children to access breakfast, lunch, and afterschool snack programs either in school or through "grab and go" delivery options.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle (NY-25) and Mark Takano (CA-41) introduced legislation to create a massive new jobs training program to combat COVID-19 and help communities across the country safely re-open. The Jobs to Fight COVID-19 Act will help states across the country hire more than a million workers to perform critical mitigation, containment, and tracing work to prevent future outbreaks.
