(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle announced his sponsorship of legislation to ensure that all children across our country will have access to free school meals during the 2020-2021 school year. The COVID-19 pandemic has severely limited children's access to free and reduced school meals, which has only been elevated with so much uncertainty going into the new school year. The Pandemic Child Hunger Prevention Act will allow all children to access breakfast, lunch, and afterschool snack programs either in school or through "grab and go" delivery options.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Morelle voted to pass two expansive child care bills, H.R. 7327, the Child Care Economic Recovery Act, and H.R. 7027, the Child Care is Essential Act.

The childcare industry as we know it faces collapse and without assistance, providers will be forced to close for good, leaving families with nowhere to turn and leading to a significantly slower recovery for the U.S. economy.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Joe Morelle joined House colleagues in passing the first Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 appropriations package, H.R. 7069. This package includes funding for State-Foreign Operations, Agriculture-Rural Development-FDA, Interior-Environment, and Military Construction and Veterans Affairs.
