The legislation would increase funding for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Hunger Clearinghouse Hotline to improve access to food assistance, nutrition, and social services information for families in need.

(Rochester, NY) – Today, Congressman Morelle together with Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand announced the delivery of $750,000 for Foodlink, a critical local organization dedicated to ending hunger and building healthy communities throughout the Rochester region. With this funding, Foodlink will be able to cover the costs of a much-needed refrigerator expansion that will allow them to stock more fresh produce and better meet the growing needs of our community.

(Rochester, NY)—Today, Congressman Morelle announced nearly $14 million in federal funding has helped Monroe County schools and libraries bridge the digital divide and provide reliable internet access to families. The Emergency Connectivity Fund program—which Rep. Morelle voted to enact last year as a part of the American Rescue Plan—supports local schools and libraries and ensures students can access the internet from home without logistical or financial burden.
