In a letter sent to SAMHSA Administrator Dr. Miriam Delphin-Rittmon, Rep. Morelle highlights the need for equity in access to mental health services in the wake of the pandemic.

Bipartisan legislation will improve accessibility by expanding teleconferencing options in federal courts

(Washington, D.C.) — Today, Representatives Joe Morelle (D-NY-25) and Michelle Fischbach (R-MN-07) introduced legislation to expand accessibility and flexibility in Federal courts. The Courtroom Videoconferencing Act of 2022 would allow for an expanded use of video and telephone teleconferencing in a variety of Federal criminal proceedings.

Funds will help expand affordable housing opportunities across Monroe County

(Washington, D.C.) — Today, Congressman Joe Morelle announced over $3.2 million in grant funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) has been made available to expand affordable housing initiatives in the Rochester community. These grants will provide both direct investment in existing housing initiatives as well as provide conduits for further community development in the areas surrounding these initiatives.
